Blog # 11
I think if everyone lived with our future in mind, there would be no violence. No one would want to hurt another person or take another person’s life. People would make better more positive decisions about healthcare. The world would be full of happier people, because they would have a sense of security. Our children would look toward the future as well and aim for bigger goals in life. The people in my neighborhood wouldn’t be shooting each other over drugs and money. They would be too focused on being healthy, so they wouldn’t take drugs or sell them to others. Overall I feel if everyone lived with our future in mind, the world would be a better place.

I agree with you that the world will be a better place if everyone has goals and plans for the future. I would love to live in that world where their is no violence and everyone loves each other.
ReplyDeleteI am a little confused. Why do you think that violence would end if people were thinking about their future? A robber probably is thinking about his future. He thinks that by robbing someone he will have more money. Thinking about the future doesn’t automatically make you a decent person. It also doesn’t automatically make you happy and secure. I don’t think that it is that simple.
ReplyDeleteMany people worry about the future, but don’t have the education or financial ability to make changes. However, I agree that we should encourage our children to set goals and work to build a better future.
I think your post has a great idea, however; I think we all have a different opinion on what is best for our future. Everyone's priorities are different which result in different outcomes. I also wish there was no violence and everyone just got along and loved everybody.....I think it would take a major catastrophe for that to happen.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
